We are the proud recipients of a George Brown Industry Partner award for our efforts in supporting hospitality learning through our internship and mentorship programs and it is our goal to continually develop up and coming talent to preserve this very important industry.
Our motto is simple: hire for attitude and train for skill. This is demonstrated through our careful hiring practices in which we look for people who demonstrate character building traits such as emotional intelligence, critical judgement and empathy.
Once the right associates have been found we provide appropriate training, from onboarding to on the job training, to make sure that each valued associate is set up for success right from the start. By combining the learning provided by Larco Hospitality leveraged with the learning provided by our strong brands such as Marriott, Renaissance, Sheraton, JW Marriott and Hilton, we offer opportunities to support everyone’s ongoing growth and development.
Our leaders passionately maintain our high standards when it comes to the engagement of our associates and we always want to know how well we are doing. It is through our associate engagement survey, that is conducted annually, that we are able to stay on the path towards continuous improvement.
We take pride in the culture we have created and we believe that it starts with our leaders. We partner with FranklinCovey and offer world class training to support the personal and professional development of our leaders because of a shared belief. That is, to inspire greatness in others. Delivered by our internal Certified FranklinCovey Facilitator, all leaders will achieve certification upon completing “7 Habits of Highly Effective People‐Foundations” and/or “7 Habits for Managers”, just to name a few.
