Ahmed Parkar, General Manager, Sheraton Toronto Airport Hotel and Conference Centre is pleased to announce the appointment of Mark Crooks to the position of Director, Rooms, effective Tuesday, January 24, 2017.
Mark joins Larco Hospitality with over 20 years of experience in the hospitality industry, from his most recent position as Director of Rooms at the Westin Harbour Castle in Toronto. Prior to that, Mark left the industry for about a year and half after working with Starwood Hotels at Le Meridien King Edward Hotel where he was Director, Front Office Operations from June 2009 to July 2012. Mark also lends his knowledge and experience in Security Operations to his new role, gained while working as Director, Security and Guest Services with Le Meridien King Edward from January 2008 to June 2009, and with Delta Hotels as Director, Service and Security from January 2002 to December 2007. During his tenure in Security Operations, Mark was a key leader for several high level events in Toronto including: G-20, Pan Am Games, World Juniors, Hall of Fame, Film Festival and NBA all-star weekend. Mark brings with him a global perspective to operations, with strong knowledge in Health & Safety and Risk Management.
