Ahmed Parkar, General Manager, Sheraton Toronto Airport Hotel and Conference Centre is pleased to announce the appointment of Michael Jensen to the position of Director, Food & Beverage, effective Monday, May 2, 2016.
Michael progresses from his most recent role as Executive Chef since May 2007, at the Sheraton Toronto Airport Hotel and Conference Centre.
Michael’s tenured career with Larco Hospitality began when he joined us as Banquet Chef at the Toronto Marriott Bloor Yorkville. In 1996, Michael was then promoted to Executive Sous Chef for the same hotel before being promoted to Executive Chef at the Renaissance Toronto Downtown Hotel in October 2000.
Since joining the Sheraton Toronto Airport Hotel team, Michael is integral in positioning the hotel as a top culinary spot in Toronto’s West End. His passion for cooking is not only demonstrated in the guest experience, but also through his commitment to developing future culinarians in the industry. Since January 2006, Michael has shared his knowledge and talent by working as an Instructor in the Culinary Arts program at Humber College, while also partnering with the College through the Humber College Coop program.
A passion for learning, Michael attained his Red Seal Certification in 1993 and his accreditation of CCC, Certified Chef de Cuisine in 2005.
