Steve Froemmel, Director of Food and Beverage at the Renaissance Toronto Downtown Hotel is pleased to announces Nick Muehlen as Executive Chef.
Nicholas (Nick) joins the Renaissance Toronto Downtown Hotel from his most recent position as Executive Sous Chef at our sister property, Toronto Marriott Bloor Yorkville.
Nick’s culinary career spans 35 years, progressing in various positions including working as First Cook at Hy’s Steakhouse in Toronto. Nick also worked 9 years at the Rebel House as First Cook and started his management career when being promoted to Sous Chef. While at the Rebel House, Nick was very much involved in many culinary projects including doing many offsite catering.
Nick started at Toronto Marriott Yorkville in July 2004 and during his 12 years at the hotel, he held several key positions including First Cook in Matisse, and was promoted to Sous Chef starting in April 2007. In February 2011, Nick was promoted to his most recent role as Executive Sous Chef.
We are extremely excited to see Nick continue his culinary career with Larco Hospitality and lend his passion and experience to the Renaissance Toronto Downtown Hotel.
