LAS VEGAS, NV – On Saturday, July 23rd, the Sheraton Toronto Airport Hotel & Conference Centre was named the 2015 Hotel of the Year. This presentation took place during Larco Hospitality’s Conference held in Las Vegas, Nevada which brought together members of the executive leadership teams from all 10 of Larco’s North American hotels.
In the service industry, “happy employees create happy guests” and this guiding principle has fueled the Sheraton Toronto Airport Hotel & Conference Centre’s success. The criteria for the Hotel of the Year Award included the balanced scorecard of Associate Engagement Scores, Guest Satisfaction Surveys, financial results & competitive performance versus the hotel’s immediate competitors.
The award was presented to Ahmed Parkar, General Manager, and Hughena Walsh, Director of Sales & Marketing. “It’s a tremendous honour to accept the Hotel of the Year award on behalf of the entire team at the Sheraton Toronto Airport Hotel & Conference Centre,” said Ahmed Parkar. “This recognition confirms our commitment to Starwood’s core values of providing a great place to work, wonderful guest experiences and great returns to stakeholders.”
A special mention was given to the hotel’s previous GM, Dan Woodburn, for his contributions in 2015.
